Chevrolet Camaro 1LE Back For 2017.

By  |

The sixth-generation Camaro returns in the 2017 year with the 1LE package, available now on the V6 and V8 models, previously only available V8s.

Configurations will come in the form of the 3.6 L V6 with 355 hp and the 6.2 L V8 version good for 455 hp.
The 1LE V8 is rumored to be three seconds faster than the standard SS model.

Package editions will include the FE3 suspension from the SS models, which will include stiffer dampers, and staggered 20 inch forged aluminium wheels.
Brembo brakes all round, dual exhaust system and a few other bits borrowed from the Camaro SS such as the fuel system and standard Recaro front seats.

Externals will include a satin black hood, front splitter and three-piece rear spoiler.

Chief Engineer Alo Oppenheiser says, “The Camaro 1LE packages follow a recipe any track-day enthusiast will appreciate. Start with a lightweight, stiff structure and then add higher levels of suspension stiffness and damping, more aggressive tires, higher down force, more powerful brakes and more cooling. The result delivers better performance in all measures.”

Prices have not been announced as yet, but the good news is that it should be a affordable, track capable car as per the muscle car ethos.
