By  |

Hagerty, if you didn’t know, are the guys who let everybody else know the value of vehicles, past and present.
They have released their top 10 choices for future rarities 2016, including US, European and Japanese models.

It’s always the question of will today’s vehicles be future rarities in a few decades, just like their parents and grandparents are now.
Despite all the negative talk about the future of the car, this is one of the most exciting times to be a car enthusiast,” said McKeel Hagerty, chief executive of Hagerty. “Manufacturers seem to have found the golden combination of performance, handling, safety and styling. The cars on this list check all of these boxes and will make them desirable for years to come.”

Below are the ‘muscle’ related vehicles from that top 10.

Chevrolet Camaro SS ($37,295)
The Camaro SS has always been a collectible vehicle and with the latest 455hp V8 SS model, they are steadfast, future classics.

Ford Mustang GT350R ($62,195)
For the Mustang fan, the Mustang GT350 has always been up there as one of the most collectibles. The ‘R’ version saves weight in every possible way and with its carbon fibre includes, it is sure to be a track favourite.
Past GT350R’s from the 60s and the Mustang Cobra R from 1993 are all collectible models, making this one a sure bet.

Dodge Viper SRT Coupe ($89,090)
With its 8.4L V10, the Dodge Viper is a raw and straight to the point sports vehicle.
It may not have the finesse of the other cars in the top 10, but as a future rarity, it’s one to keep an eye on.

Cadillac ATS-V ($60,465)
Aimed to compete with the BMW M3 and Mercedes AMG C 63, the twin turbo 3.6 L V6, with 464 hp gives the Caddie ATS-V makings of a future rarity.
Don’t dismiss this Cadillac as a doughy cruiser, this one stands out from the crowd and always will.
