2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2.0T review

By  |

It seems to be the way of things with modern-day muscle cars to have a four-cylinder engine in the lineup. It is counter to the muscle car philosophy, but if the cars are going to exist long-term, they have to appeal to everybody.

This review over at highlights how the four-cylinder engine works better than you would think.
A 0-60mph time of 5.4 seconds, 30 MPG on the highway from a 2 L, turbocharged four-cylinder, 275HP, 296 lb.ft. of torque engine. Quite impressive.

The turbo is said to have a bit of a lag of a second or two and kicks in around 3 to 4,500 rpm which makes impressive speed, but also the stripping of way from the new Camaro compared to previous versions, being 400lbs. lighter.

Although the V8 versions will always be the muscle car standard, the four-cylinder version is much better then you would initially think.

The Four-cylinder Camaros start at $26,695.
